NAPP Annual Meeting & Conference 2020

NAPP 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting and Conference (AMC)

July 20 – July 22

Following a press release from NAPP President, Daniel Krueger, on April 30, 2020, the NAPP Board of Directors approved the program and conference rates for NAPP’s 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting and Conference (AMC) at May’s Board Meeting.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated changes in content delivery, our virtual conference will feature the latest in patent prosecution with a streamlined program based on the results of membership polling to be delivered by industry experts within and outside of NAPP. The majority of the presenters listed in the program have been confirmed and are now working on developing unique content for the 2020 Virtual AMC. The AMC planning committee expects that presentation outlines will be available by the end of June 2020. The AMC Program and schedule will be continuously updated based on the availability of new information.

We are also starting the process of obtaining certifications necessary to offer 10 hours MCLE/CLE credits, including 1 hour of Ethics credit, based on state demographics from the 2019 AMC in Seattle.

The AMC planning committee and Brandi Gerew, our Executive Director, are now working on the mechanisms for facilitating virtual content. Presently, we plan to deliver live program content by way of GoToWebinar sessions. Using this platform, questions to speakers can be submitted by way of a chat function and attendance can be monitored (i.e., for MCLE/CLE credits) by way of polling questions or the like. The NAPP annual meeting for electing new Board members and sponsor break-out sessions will be available by way of a Zoom meeting.

A list of links for all sessions will be provided to all registered attendees in early July.

One of the many reasons that members repeatedly attend the NAPP conference is for an opportunity to visit with old friends and colleagues, as well as for making new friends and networking. As such, a social hour is being planned for Tuesday, July 21. More details will be available soon.

Without a doubt, the 2020 Virtual AMC will be the “place to be” for patent prosecution practitioners.

Thank you for your continued support of NAPP!

Stay safe and healthy.
